Your Pregnancy, Your Midwife, Your Choice

Each Community Hub works closely with local businesses to offer additional services such as pregnancy or postnatal yoga, first aid courses, complementary therapies, support groups such as the Positive Birth Movement, and much more. If you are a local business or a practitioner who wants to get involved in the Community Hubs, please email us at info@121foundation.org for more information. We charge a minimal room hire fee, which is donated to the One to One Foundation to help maintain the facilities and venue.

  • In partnership with One to One Foundation, the Hubs offer free Parent Education Classes. These classes are split into two segments: Active Birth and Early Days Workshops. Information on both can be viewed here: Parent Education.
  • A weekend Hypnobirthing course which is based on the KG Hypnobirthing course, which teaches women and their birthing partners to take control of the birthing process, to be empowered, and to be part of the decision-making process in partnership with their midwife. One to One charge a minimal fee of £35 to attend this course and all proceeds are donated to the One to One Foundation to cover venue costs. This fee is heavily subsidised by The Foundation to ensure that ALL women, regardless of their ability to pay, have access to these courses. Further information on our hypnobirthing courses can be found here: Hypnobirthing.
  • Free pregnancy testing and support
  • Scanning services offered to all women booked with the One to One Midwives service
  • Coffee mornings and drop-in sessions, which offer a great way to meet other mums (and dads) in the community. These coffee mornings are principally designed to provide women with an opportunity to build social networks. New parents can feel isolated, especially if their families do not live close by. Isolation can result in postnatal depression, so it is important that women have support networks in place. The coffee mornings and drop-in sessions are always run by a team of expert MaMAs (Mother and Midwife Assistants) and trained midwives who are on hand to give any additional advice and support that may be needed
  • Preconception drop-in sessions
  • Pregnancy Centring classes
  • Monthly ‘Meet the Midwife’ sessions
  • Feeding support drop-in
  • Baby weigh-in drop-in
